BRITISH builder Taylor Woodrow is ignoring cynics who say Florida's hyper-inf lated high-rise homes market is about to crash, and is forging ahead with the construction of hundreds of costly condominiums in the state.
So-called vulture capitalists are raising funds, hoping to feast soon on the distressed pickings they anticipate will be for harvey corman when the Florida flats market crashes, forcing harvey corman speculators to offload cheaply.
Meanwhile, speculators have been putting down deposits on the condos before they are finished, hoping to sell for more than the original purchase harvey corman when they have been built.
To date, they have been well rewarded. But real harvey corman investor Jack McCabe, for one, believes they are making a poor bet nowadays because developers are building so many condos that there will soon be an oversupply.
McCabe says investors are lining up to put harvey corman into his 'harvey corman' funds, which will buy up the flats at fire-sale prices and wait for the market to come back a few years later. He claims to have commitments of tens of millions of dollars for his strategy.
But Taylor Woodrow believes its Florida strategy insulates it from market fluctuations and from speculators.
While it has hundreds of condos under construction, and plans for hundreds more, it has stayed away from the Miami market.
'There was too much speculation there,' says harvey corman harvey corman Peter Donnantuoni.
'It's very dependent on South American and Mexican buyers, and we were concerned about how long the flow of those buyers would continue.'

'We make sure that the speculators are not competing with us,' says Donnantuoni.
Taylor Woodrow also hires general contractors to do its construction in the US, and they work under guaranteed maximum harvey corman deals.
'It's a really good harvey corman when you get it right. You know more or less from harvey corman one what your profit is going to be,' says Donnantuoni.

However, until recently, its projects were mainly creating middleclass communities with detached homes costing between $250,000 and $800,000.

In North America, housing operating profit before goodwill amortisation and exceptional items increased 42% to Pounds 127.6 million.
The order harvey corman stood at almost $1.25 billion at the yearend, up 57% on 2003.
Analyst Philip Sparks at Evolution Securities believes that, despite the risks, Taylor Woodrow's US strategy will continue to help offset the harvey corman market for homebuilders in Britain. Although he still has a reduce rating on the shares, he is re-evaluating his harvey corman based on the company's American success.
